Jaime Cruz serves as Executive Director of Workforce Connections, Southern Nevada’s Local Workforce Development Board. Under his leadership, Workforce Connections has been recognized nationally for innovative partnerships and programs that help connect employers to a ready workforce. Cruz understands the barriers many face trying to improve their careers. As a young man, he worked as a dishwasher after immigrating from Peru despite his degree in Mechanical Engineering. Cruz worked his way back to the engineering field, holding executive roles in the hospitality industry before transitioning to the public sector.
John Tippins is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Northcap. He began his real estate career in 2000 as a commercial agent for Insight Holdings. Following a brief period as President of Mark L. Fine and Associates, Tippins branched out and started his own company, Northcap, in 2006. Tippins serves on several boards and councils in addition to being a member of the UNLV President’s Inner Circle, the UNLV Advisory Board, and the Mayors Fund. He graduated from UNLV with a B.A. in Marketing and is an adjunct professor at UNLV. He is also a graduate of the prestigious Leadership Las Vegas program through the Vegas Chamber.
After working in open office plans for years, Nick Pucci, co-founder and principal of Cubicall, utilized his experience directing marketing campaigns for global brands and started a company that manufactures modular phone booths and meeting rooms for modern offices. After appearing on ABC’s Shark Tank and receiving offers from two sharks, Cubicall recently expanded its product portfolio to include medical isolation and exam pods that help address the COVID-19 response. Originally based out of Los Angeles, Cubicall and Pucci moved its operations to Las Vegas in early 2020.
Angela Biletnikoff created The Biletnikoff Foundation in 1999 to commemorate the untimely death of her stepdaughter, Tracey Biletnikoff. As the Founder and Executive Director of the non-profit foundation, Biletnikoff oversees all operations of the program as it funds and supports its various youth organizations, including Tracey’s Place of Hope, which provides safe housing and counseling for young women to flourish in the wake of substance abuse, human trafficking, and domestic and gender violence. She is also the Owner and CEO of Biletnikoff 25 Wines, featuring her husband, Pro Football Hall of Famer Fred Biletnikoff.
