James York and Jay Blood are the co-founders of Valley Bank of Nevada. James is the President and CEO of the bank and Jay is the EVP and Chief Credit Officer. Both executives are graduates of UNLV and, as such, are passionate about serving the local community. During the Covid crisis, James and Jay led Valley Bank of Nevada through providing Payroll Protection Program (PPP) loans to over 300 businesses in the community, saving an estimated 4,000 local jobs. The bank has recently opened a loan production office (LPO) in Summerlin, making it the third location valley-wide.
Bill Wadley grew up in poverty, homelessness and 3 broken homes, yet by a miracle he graduated from West Point. This Henderson Basic High School graduate is now a 24-year business owner of Impact Sand & Gravel. Motivated by his gratitude for the premier education and leadership training he received at West Point, Wadley wants to provide similar opportunities for the children in Southeast Las Vegas area. Capstone Christian Academy’s mission is to Develop World Changing Leaders. There are still Pre-K through 2nd grade openings. Visitors are welcome to stop by for a tour.
Kerri Vaughan is the Managing Director of the AAA Scholarship Foundation (AAA). Karl Nickoley started Frequency Pictures in Hollywood, CA in 2011. Frequency is an award-winning production company that produces national and regional commercials, brand films, training series, social media campaigns and feature films. In 2017, Frequency expanded to Las Vegas producing campaigns for Visit Las Vegas and The Grand Canyon. Karl has over a decade of experience producing campaigns for major brands like Geico, AT&T, Ford including equity raises for internationally distributed feature films. An honors graduate of The Los Angeles Film School, he is certified in Film Finance from Pepperdine University.
