Josh Smith is the Chief Executive Officer of Veteran Benefits Guide. He spent six years in the Marine Corps.
In 2009 Smith started a job at the Department of Veterans Affairs. During his tenure at the VA, he discovered many inefficiencies in the way Veterans’ disability ratings were evaluated and saw a need to provide Veterans a better option for processing their disability claims.
In 2017, he and his wife decided to start a business to assist Veterans with their disability claims. Today, Veteran Benefits Guide is proud to have successfully guided over 20,000 Veterans nationwide!
Mike Murphy has been the President and General Manager of Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nevada since 2006. In his role, he is responsible for overseeing all commercial group and individual business in Nevada. With more than half a million members in Nevada, Anthem is the second largest insurance company in the state. Anthem is a customer-focused company that is dedicated to providing its members with access to high-quality, affordable healthcare.
Shelley grew up in a family of entrepreneurs learning from them to work hard, run businesses and help people. She spent 26 years in media, sales, and sales leadership working with business leaders, leadership teams and organizations to help them grow, develop, and thrive. Her love of coaching led her to Vistage Worldwide leading the team of “CEO Connectors” to connect CEO prospects to the right Vistage Chair and Peer Group. Finally, she became a Professional EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) Implementer. She is a member of NAWBO and President-Elect of Las Vegas Won Rotary.
Rick Myers is President of Thomas & Mack Development Group, a commercial development company with projects throughout the Las Vegas Valley. Thomas & Mack performs third party real estate services, and is currently managing the development of the Metro Police Department’s new headquarters campus. Mr. Myers is a past president of the Southern Nevada Chapter of NAIOP and longtime member of the Board of Directors. Prior to joining Thomas & Mack, Rick worked for The Howard Hughes Corporation and Marnell Properties. He graduated from the University of Southern California.
