Josh Smith is the Chief Executive Officer of Veteran Benefits Guide. He spent six years in the Marine Corps. In 2009 Smith started a job at the Department of Veterans Affairs. During his tenure at the VA, he discovered many inefficiencies in the way Veterans’ disability ratings were evaluated and saw a need to provide Veterans a better option for processing their disability claims. In 2017, he and his wife decided to start a business to assist Veterans with their disability claims. Prior to establishing GYC in 2017, Yager spent 15 years with Preferred Public Relations, a local marketing and public relations agency, where she served as the firm’s Vice President.
